Friday 20th September and our first shoot of the autumn, unfortunately the weather was a little glum but that did not dampen the atmosphere with us all raring to go. In the usual manner we were in 4 teams of 3. On this occasion Huw Williams was unable to join us with the imminent arrival of his baby so we had 3 team captains Andy Jansons, Michael Tomkins and Kate Aitken.

After a successful morning shoot we all gathered for the team flush. The tension was mounting as they were all preparing to shoot in front of each other. The tension was obviously too much for some with two teams each missing one of the flash clays, which are worth an extra 5 points. The winning team consisting of Andy Jansons, Martin Somers and Alan Oliver even though they missed one flash clay in total however hit all the 40 clays but 3; very good shooting!

Martin Summers, Alan Oliver, Roger Saper, Andy, Rob Campbell, John Setra, Michael, Kate, Phil Charalambous, Graeme Dodd, Ed Britton, Russell Smith.

We finished off the shoot with hearty breakfast – enjoyed by all and a presentation to the winning team and top gun who was Russell Smith from Rapleys.  With our next shoot in October not far away lets hope that the weather remains warm.
