On Friday 28th February we hosted a Completion Celebration Party of our SoCo Alexander Development. The event was a great success with many notable people from the City of Edinburgh attending the reception.

With Jansons and PPS working well in unison the event was successfully co-ordinated with over 100 guest attending. With Sainsbury’s, Costa and the Ibis Hotel already in full operation, we wanted each person to see how the development was set out. In addition to the reception, in small groups of no more than 10 people, they were shown the development and were given the chance to note some of the features, the project had to offer, as well as seeing how spectacular the hotel has turned out.

The Ibis Hotel even though meaning to be a budget hotel actually feels like a 3/4 * hotel which has welcomed to Edinburgh.  We currently have 3 units just become available for rent on Cowgate which we are sure will generate much interest from shops, restaurateurs, bars etc.

After the tours were completed Andy Jansons made a brief introductory speech about the development before introducing Ioannis Koletakis the Hotel Manager. The guest were then entertained by Jo Caulfield a comedian who lived in Edinburgh. Jo made everybody laughed by telling her story of her tour where she accidently walked into a glass window as it was so clean she did not see it. As Jo lives in Edinburgh she previously knew of the Guilded Balloon which she spoke of which was previously resident on the site.
