Travelodge, Bath Road, Heathrow
The project comprised the demolition of an existing office building and the construction of a new 7 storey, Travelodge Hotel using a modular system developed by CIMC Modular Building Systems.
Due to its proximity to Heathrow airport, the erection of the hotel had to be co-ordinated with the Civil Aviation Authority and special acoustic measures were required to reduce the impact of aircraft noise.
At the time of its completion, the Travelodge at Heathrow was the largest modular hotel in the world.
