It’s been a while since we reported on progress on the Ibis Budget Hotel at the Edinburgh Business Park, next to Edinburgh Airport, one of about 1700 Ibis hotels worldwide, of which 89 are in the UK and the second built by Jansons in Edinburgh. We’re very pleased to say it’s complete, open and welcoming guests.

With the tram stop just across the road, the hotel is easily accessible from both the city and the airport. It is already averaging 85% occupancy and, such was the demand, achieved triple normal room rates during the Festival. One of it’s advantages over many other hotels, in my opinion, is that it has Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, not just in reception and communal areas.

Edinburgh Business Park is situated in the established business community of West Edinburgh. It was formerly the home of Scottish & Newcastle , which has made way for this thriving new business park.
