In this part of the season, it can be increasingly difficult to find anything close to or that resembles “good weather”. We find ourselves scrambling for opportunities to enjoy the dwindling sunlight while battling weather that curiously resembles the film “The Day After Tomorrow”. For those of you who have not seen the film here is a three-word description, it’s very cold. However, the weather on the day of the annual shooting cup was particularly favourable, so much so we had occasional bursts of sunlight bringing out all the vibrant colours of the E.J. Churchill grounds. With the weather in good standing and E.J.Churchill’s award-winning clay pigeon shooting grounds offering a scenic background our forty-four competitors had an exciting day ahead of them!
We are now six months into 2019, what better way to mark this milestone than a Friday morning clay pigeon shoot! This time around we had more of a mixed group, the ladies present definitely displayed some refreshing competitive spirit which made the morning more enjoyable. The format remained the same, a battle for the individual prize of Top Gun as well as the Flush team prize. The winner of each respective title would take home some bubbly to ease in their weekend! The favourable weather meant enthusiasm was high, this also meant our twelve competitors had no excuses!
Last Thursday (25/04/2019) saw Jansons Property hosting a networking event for some industry professionals! Formal as this may sound, it was actually an opportunity to break bread with comrades in arms and exchange ideas. The event took place at Mayfair’s Burlington Arms with thirty-five budding property professionals in attendance. Tom Jansons described the night as “an evening with a good atmosphere and only a sore head in the morning to fear”.
Those who are courageous enough to take on a career in the property market know MIPIM Cannes as the world’s leading property exhibition. Judging from all the social media posts covering the event one might better describe the event as the epicentre of the international property industry.
The idea of spending your Friday morning clay pigeon shooting then later devouring a well earned full english breakfast seems only a dream when you think about it. If you add a combination of great weather and competitive spirit to the equation, the result is the perfect morning to end a busy week. This was the case as we kicked off our first clay pigeon shooting event of the year.
